Spring is a great time to remember our pollinators, and last year I created the “Bee Love” line for Fireball Bookbindery. Every Bee Love product is made from a minimum of 50% to 90% of materials that have been diverted from going to the landfill, upcycled, salvaged, and/or recycled. Gorgeous scraps of delicate handmade papers have been individually hand-pasted to sturdier stocks of paper, and then hand-bound with quality papers using Japanese stab-binding to create one-of-a-kind notepads.
Each notepad contains between 36 and 48 pages, and measure approximately 4″ x 5″ depending on what is available at the time that I am binding these. Because of the nature of using materials that have been diverted from waste, upcycled, salvaged, etc., the materials may be slightly imperfect, lightly creased, or slightly mis-cut, but are guaranteed to be 100% usable and still beautiful! A portion of all profits from the sale of Bee Love products will be donated to support the scientific research, protection, and conservation of invertebrates.
