Applications Deadline: Sunday, October 17th, 2021.
This is a two part submission form, with one form for personal and contact information, and one form for work submissions. Both forms must be completed to participate in the sale.
Before completing this form, please complete the Vendor Information Form.
Please complete the following form for each item entry. All submitted work will be reviewed by the 2021 Holiday Sale Jury. Artists will be notified by October 29th, 2021 if their work has been accepted to the Holiday Sale.
Featured work at the Holiday Sale will be created by artists throughout the MECA&D community, including faculty, staff, alumni, students, and friends and will be featured on an online sale platform hosted by the college. Proceeds from the sale go to support both the participating artists and MECA&D students.
Artists can submit up to 10 item listings. If your items are multiples, you can have an unlimited quantity for each listing. You are also able to have multiple variations available for one listing, such as different sizes, colors, or patterns. We will restock throughout the sale as well. When you sell out of an item, we will give you the option to either restock that item or replace it with a new piece.
All items in the sale must be handmade, hand-altered, or designed by the applicant. All work submitted must be complete and available for purchase.
Images should be sized at 72 dpi and approximately 1,500 pixels on the longest side. Submitted images will be used to display the work online, and must accurately and professionally represent the artwork.
As the sale is online this year, the college will take a commission from sold works/items instead of charging a booth fee as was done in the past. Current MECA&D Student (10% commission to MECA&D/90% to Student); MECA&D Degree Holding Alumni (30% commission to MECA&D/70% to Alumni); Faculty or Staff (30% commission to MECA&D/70% to Faculty/Staff); Non-Graduated Alumni/Friend of the College (40% commission to MECA&D/60% to Non-Graduated Alumni/Friend).
All sales will be processed by MECA&D through the shop site. At the end of the sale, each artist’s sales will be calculated, and they will receive a check in the mail for the amount they sold (minus the commission to MECA&D, which is processed as a donation to the scholarship fund.)
Artists will be responsible for packaging and shipping all sold items within 3 – 5 business days. You will be notified of all sales by email and will be sent prepaid shipping labels to use for your sold works. Buyers pay for shipping when purchasing the item through the shop, and then MECA will purchase shipping through USPS and send the labels to the artist, so that artists do not have to worry about shipping costs.
We do recommend that they take into consideration packaging expenses when pricing their work though as we are not able to reimburse for packing materials. Shipping costs will be calculated based on the dimensions and weights you submit so try and be as accurate as possible and take into consideration packaging when calculating weight. We will need dimensions as well if the packaged piece is bigger than 12″ – if smaller shipping can be calculated just from the weight.
